Procrastination...

Procrastination:
  • The art of postponing;
  • The commitment to leave for tomorrow what should have been done yesterday;
  • The impetuous desire to not do what one really wants;
  • The pride of having an endless list;
  • The only way to stay where you are: stopped, protected, trapped, thoughtful.
Every day we wake up with the certainty that we will have time, that we will have a whole day ahead, that we can control what we do, because, tomorrow is a new day and we will always have tomorrow. Forever???

I have a list of things that I would like to have, to do and to be. And I procrastinate. I procrastinate a lot. And how I procrastinate!

But, you know what has helped me to procrastinate less?
Set a deadline! That's it. Just set a deadline.
Mark the date of your wedding to see if it will not arrive!
Get pregnant to see if the baby will not be born!
Make an appointment, have lunch or go to a movie.

The deadline always comes! And when it comes, there you will be, prepared or not. The fact is that it comes! Whether or not you did what you should, whether the scheduled event happened or not, we only know when the day really comes. But the day comes! And then you will present yourself as you have prepared, as if you were committed to doing what you really wanted to do or not. What do you really want?

Go there: set the deadline. The day comes! If it comes and you are not prepared, your time is over. Game over!
